zinaidazeal Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 So I've been having this problem for a while now and after finding no information on this issue I thought I'd post here for help. The problem is that my game will crashing during the last part of the "Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" quest. It'll crash at the part when you arrive at the Sleeping Giant Inn and ask for the attic room. After renting the room and walking in Delphine will follow and when she enters the screen will flash black then the game will crash a few seconds later. Sometimes I will be able to get past that part and walk to her secret room with her, then when she is about to talk the game will do the same thing. Flash black then crash. I'm not sure what the problem might be. I'm pretty sure it's a mod but I don't know which one I should look at. Any help you guys can give me will be much appreciated.
lordsteelwolf Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I would say if you have wrye bash or if you dont download it when it instaled run it and look for any mods that are red look to the right of the scren and look under masters and boxs that arnt checked will be mods that your missing if there are none that are red go to the bottom left corner and look for mod checker click that and see if you have any delinquent mods or missing mods and move that mod as far up the list as you can update the mod checker and see if it still has a delinquent mod if none are seen from the bottom of the file to the top then you load order should be perfect and make sure you click the scan for dirty edits box and fix the problems in tes5edit it should expain how to do that in the tes5edit readme or go to what ever search engin u use and type how to clean mods using tes5edit I hope this helps and in case you already did all this I hope you find your solution fast i know how iratating it is not to be able to play your game trust me

I'm able to go through the main quest with no problems now. I ended up reinstalling the game as well, to start fresh with Wrye and some mods. Thank you so much for your help. you ended a "no Skyrim phase" that lasted 4 weeks, thanks again
