Max Inglorion Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hi ppl, I'm very new using 3d modeling in Blender, so it seems I'm stucked in some point between exporting a character model extracted from MvC3 to Skyrim in order to make a custom follower-NPC. The fact is I just want to export just the model, not the clothes. I've tried to export the .ascii file containing the model, converting it first into a .nif file, but whenever I do so, Blender gives an error about "not being able to export envelope skinning". What should I do? Do I have to erase the model's default skeleton and replace it with a random Skyrim race one? How do I do so? BTW, the config I use for exporting is the one in the capture from the attached files. (I've taken some screenshots for better reference). Thank you in advance
Kaz Aanh Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 You want her naked? Then yes you need need to delete all armour parts, but sometimes characters from various games have *armour* skinned to the body so if you remove the armor you will remove part of her body too. Its kinda annoying but makes sense. But if her body model is separate from the armour then its fine. That depends , there might be another version of her in bikini , like doa models for example. But I would remove the body , leave the head only and fit the head mesh to the unp/cbbe body. You will also need to add eyes, mouth if you keep her original face, not to mention about expression morphs if you want her to be more *alive*. Its like creating a new custom race. And you need to remove skeleton and reweight her if you want to keep original body, because skyrim does not reads them.

Yes, I've got another full naked model (the first one had clothes attached to some body parts). Thank you for the advise. And yes, the head-only option is great. I've never thought about that possibility, but it's good because it saves a lot of complication with the body re-weight and all that stuff. So for using the custom head in a cbbe body, I suppose I need to extract the body from Skyrim using NifSkope first, isn't it?

I am not sure about the exact progress, but just get original body like unp/cbbe or craft one by using uunp.
