Sacremas Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Thanks for the help, but this turned out to somehow be a Win10 issue, some sort of conflict. If you look at the dates in these posts, you can see that this is well and resolved by now, I have reverted back to Win 7, everything works including that missing HD and internet (obviously). Drivers for my network card was missing preventing me from logging onto internet, the technician said when it happened to him on his home PC he actually downloaded the drivers on his cellphone and then transferred them via USB, but I did not even know what specific drivers to look for. Everything works fine now, and while nVidia Backend is still present in my background programs it never uses more than 10 MB or so when I am playing, this was a Win 10 problem with some configurations that was just up temporarily (like a few weeks) and then one side or the other updated their programs and it's no longer an issue. At least the specific issue I had regarding it.

Anyway just wanted to mention it in case you install windows 10 someday again it as said deletes every regestry and driver not from windows.

Well that explains it entirley, that had just installed IIRC so Backend was being an ass because I was using outdated drivers for it... Yeah I don't think I will ever update back to Win 10 honestly. When you combine this with the DX fuckup (where any game (like Skyrim or New Vegas) that uses older DXes can NEVER use more than 4 GB RAM regardless of what you have if you are using Win 8 or 10, ENB can get around it for the texture stuff but the rest is limited) my faith in Microsoft, what little I had, has been pulled into a backalley and assraped to death... only problem is that as far as I know there are no real viable options to not updating to Win 10, sooner or later I'm going to need that damn exclusive DX...
