Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Enjoy [video=vimeo]http://vimeo.com/40234826
thesapien Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Pretty cool. When I see the rings of Saturn, it reminds me of patterns of dust particles on a vibrating surface, but in 3D instead of 2D. That planet is ringing like a bell, and I'd love to hear it.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 The irony being if you pumped in enough atmosphere to hear it, it would destroy the rings.
thesapien Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 But Saturn has an atmosphere. Have you seen the hexagonal feature on its north pole? That one reminds me of experiments with spinning buckets of water at various frequencies to get various polygon shapes to from in the center.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 Or as I once managed to start a drunken brawl by saying: gods graphics card was bugging out.
