rox123 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I was trying to create a mod with the cs (I'm noob and it's the first time) I wanted to change all castle Almgard guard clothes with Whitesnake Boots, Curiass, Gloves and Greaves, except for the Guard Leader with Athena gold, pauldrons bra and shoes (no underwear) and the Hunters with all the camo pieces and change all the guards and hunters race to xraces female (except dryads). I did it, saved it too but when I start the game is all if I didn't change anything. Any tips? Or can someone of you do it for me ? Thanks
Guest ThatOne Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Well, the best way to be sure your work isn't going to waste is to put everything in one esp... Yeah, lots of people love to use dependencies (it's faster), but you have to remember that when you save with the CS dependencies tend to disappear. If you aren't sure of what your doing, better use the safe way: -Load your mod as active, and Apachii and xraces loaded. -Duplicate the races from xraces, and the equipment you want. Duplicate the hairs you want, as well as the eyes. Don't do anything else. -Now, save, reload your mod as active (and disable the other mods). -Give the equipment a new ID, same for the races, you can now change everything safely and it will stay. Don't forget to add the eyes\hairs to the races (because the CS will not find them as they are). Might want to give them new IDs as well. -You should probably make the races un-selectable, or you'll have them twice when making a new character... Only that some of them won't have any abilities. Note that this takes some more place in the esp, but if you later want to remove one mod or other the entire thing will NOT go to hell.
rox123 Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 Thank you very much mate, I did it putting everything in one esp
