Eyeliner bug

Hi,

I am having this very annoying bug where eyeliner is only applied to the left eye(right from the viewers perspective). The various solutions to this problem (adding iTintTextureResolution=2048 and iTexMipMapSkip=0 to SKSE.ini, deinstalling SG Texture Renewal) didn't work. I deactivated all texture mods(including Calientes standard Textures) aswell as Citrus Head but the problem persisted. Switching to the Fair Skin Texture pack didnt work either.

It seems like the whole texture area above the left eye is distorted. You notice it when you take a closer look at the eye fold.

Using vanilla textures only. The bug isn't as noticeable as before, but the area is still darker

I am using ENB 2.62

My guess is that something distorts the UV layout of the headmesh.

Edit: I deactivated all mods except Alternate start and  SkyUI and it I still get the Eyeliner-aka-distortion bug!

Gotta use PNG pictures if you want to attach to post, cause I cant see your pictures.

It looks like its a mesh problem.

Which is entirely possible that it could be that your Head and eye meshes you have picked out will not match the Textures that you picked out.

Not everything made is 100% intercompatible.

So its not really eyeliner which is just a form of overlay anyway.

Looking though your mods list I just am not even sure which mods are conflicting but if I had to guess I'd say do some searching where you got Citris Head,  and ask about it there as well.

the problem also occurs on vanilla skyrim. Is's just barely noticeable. I found a strange fix for the problem. If I use the femalehead.nif from the PSQ Transformpackage 3.2 the distortion vanishes.

I tried to tell you that

Your problem is that the mesh of the femalehead is mismatched with the Eyes mesh.

Just because you start a new game with your ESP/ESMs turned off doesn't mean that the meshes are not in the games DATA folders.

Only Mod Manager were you can really test stuff that way is Mod Organizer with a clean DATA folder.

I am only using Mod Organizer to install mods (except for ENB and SKSE). There are no meshes in my data folder. This is really driving me nuts. Gotta do a clean install and pay attention at what point the problem occurs. Right now the problem also occurs when I start Skyrim trough Steam (no mods are active).

I've had the same problem your experiencing, I went through all the tintmasks and eye meshes looking for the problem. Using Max, the culprit was a distortion in the left eye opening mesh of the head, not a tintmask or eye mesh problem. This is with using an NPC overhaul mod, Illia was the worse case, so I changed out her head mesh. Of course her appearance changed, but at least her eyes looked great.

So it all depends on what overhaul mods your using, which, and how many NPC's are affected and to what extent you want to go to resolve it.
I've noticed this to a lesser degree with another overhaul mod also.

Just checked Illia's head mesh in vanilla skyrim and the NPC mod, in both, the left eye is slightly more open than the right eye but shouldn't be very noticable in game.

I don't know what could have caused the head mesh to become so distorted in comparison to the vanilla or the mod that I had to replace it. Maybe Illia's a secret drunk and falls down alot?

I can't believe you and I are the only ones to experience this. Since you didn't say how many NPC's are affected, I can only suggest you uninstall all mods that replace the head mesh and start from vanilla, no guarantee.
