Question to animators - key frame copying

Hi all I'm back to modding skyrim after 2 month (schools out yay).

Anyways Im trying to get into animation modding and I am wondering if its possible to import animations from other games into skyrim - I can easily move the skyrim skeleton into the position of the skeleton from other games, however because the hiearchy varies slightly, completely copying the key frames from the animations of the other games onto the skyrim skeleton doesnt work.

So this goes out to anyone whos ported animations from game to game before lol. How do you do it? 3ds max user here btw.

bump no1 does animations here? :(

on another note i got another question that may be related to animations:

I have a problem with my current skyrim where if i am riding a horse and the horse dies, my character refuses to do the next animation and is stuck on the horse's back in T-pose. The dead horse ragdolls as normal but I am stuck in that position forever (pressing clicking nothing works, have to reload game. pressing f resets camera for some reason, pressing e lets me loot dead horse).

Deactivating all esp files doesnt seem to fix this, neither does removing all animation files in meshes\actors\character\animations :/

I havent played skyrim in 2 months but have been dling mods in that time so I rly have no idea what mods could be causing this.

Any help would be good lol, (hoping for someone who ran into this before :/)

... yeah idk about any technical forums lol, never done anything srs in 3d softwares...

There should be people who know how to do this, it should be the same as transfering animations from one game to another game in any porting procedure, surely some people have ported animations before :/
