Hi there.

I've found these great bikini mods by Nisetanaka but I want them as a replacer. I tried and failed badly in Creation kit and had to reinstall Skyrim... Is there anyone who has any tutorials or might be able to help on making replacers out of standalone mods?

The thing about this mod, is that it's not really intended to be a replacer.

In game the armors are really, really modular. Like even more so than Morrowind's armor system.

You've got the chestplate, thigh armor, foot armor, forearm armor, pauldrons, thong, belly armor, gorget, helm/circlet armor all as separate pieces. Way more customisation than a vanilla skyrim outfit.

What you'd have to do is decide on a set up of the specific armor you like, find all the .NIF files for said set, then piece them together on one mesh, then give that file the same name as one of the vanilla body armor .NIFS in the game directory.

..You're probably gonna need Nifskope and Blender for this endeavor. And maybe some CK know how.

EDIT: Now what WOULD be interesting, rather than the above, just find a bikini variant you like, try and slap the panty/thong onto said bikini mesh, and swap that mesh out with the vanilla one.

Then, add all the other armour pieces to the level lists for all the female bandits that get outfitted with said armour. It would actually add quite a bit of variety to the otherwise bland banditry.

That sounds great! So depending on the Bandit/Enemy/NPC you meet wearing Iron or Steel they could have randomized parts! That would be really interesting.

Although I have no idea how to do that.

Man this is a bitch to explain.

Male and Female items are not actually split.....

If female can have the item so can male....There is no way around that outside of scripts....Which would slow your game down.

So you roll Fur1 item.

It always has male and female.

If you go adding all those bikini parts to the leveled list as is you will find males wearing bikinis.

But instead of looking like a male that stuffed his junk into a thong it will look like whatever the author of bikini set it too.

_______________________________

Most people that bring up wanting a parts list like bikini in the leveled list don't understand that the leveled list isn't gender separated.

This means that Man can have heels, thong, bikini top, everything.

How do you handle that?

That gets really complex if you choose to try to create a leveled list to handle that.

Even if you figure out how when you open said bandits inventory Male bandit is wearing heels in inventory.

So a way to go about adding it in is to use Nifskope to mash together the parts you want to see for Torso chest region...

Replace the Female Mesh of Fur1 with that mashup.

Blam you don't have the original Fur1 for female but instead its your bikini mashup.

If you use leveled list to do this you gotta create a male version of Bikini Mashup....

Gets real complicated lengthy to explain.

You'd have to have a real grasp of TesVedit and Nifskope to make this happen and even then it wont be perfect.

Cause you cannot give only high heel to bandit female....Male can also roll high heel from leveled list.

It looks very complicated! But I guess if it was easy someone would have done it already.

I would be happy with just a simple replacer though.

I'll have to read up on Nifskope and try and learn how to use it I guess. Thanks for the help!

Search for

Kendo2 Do it dirty

Its a series of common questions on how to mod and some approaches to putting items into the game.

He covers Nifskope use and some CK work.

Its fairly lengthy which is why its not so easy to just explain things in small forum post formats.

He makes use of a lot of pictures as well so this does help a lot.

I did this some time ago with the steel bikini.

The only tool I used was TesvEdit.

Just create an overwrite for each of the main parts.

EG:

Chest piece would need to include the bra and the thong.

Create overwrite for the steel chest piece.

then change the armor addon to point to the thong and bra; changing the body slots as needed.

Do the same for the boots and gloves.

(Oh make sure you change the mesh path on the bikini parts to point to the default path for the males)

It was just too time consuming and I had to wait for the Bodyslide files to show up.

Thanks! Do I do that in the Skyrim ESM? I can't find Steel chest piece but I can see Steel Cuirass. But there are lots of enchanted armor pieces as well. Do I have to override all of them?
