Familiar Faces, could not write to Data/vMYC

So, downloaded Familiar Faces, and I'm having a problem.  Randomly, when making a new character (and getting them out of the initial dungeon of Live Another Life) I'll get a "Could not write to Data/vMYC" error, and any characters I'd saved with FF are gone.

 

I'm using Mod Organizer, and have three vMYC folders on my computer.  On is on my C drive, Documents, and contains the characters saved and such.  That folder remains even after the error.  The other two are in Mod Organizer, one in the FF mod itself and one in Overwrite.

 

I love the concept of the mod, but it's basically unplayable with this issue.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong and how I can fix it?

MAY be fixed. . . I think Devious Devices was messing it up.
