Talk becomes face light

I'm not sure how this happens. Sometimes, when posing a bunch of characters for screenshotting purposes, the option for speaking to an NPC somehow becomes labelled 'Face light'.

 

When this happens, talking to them when this happens turns face light on/off instead of actually initiating conversation. This stays until the game eventually and inevitably CTDs. Saving and reloading does nothing as dialog is totally replaced by 'face light'.

 

Does anyone know what could be the cause of this issue?

That happens if you press the button you configured to be the Face Light edit button in the MCM of Face Light Plus.

Either set it to another button or press it a second time to cancel edit mode.
