Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Ok I'm sure everyone, due to the low grade nature of any 'rpg' from bethesda, has issues with parts or much of Oblivion/FO3. Some of the issues, such as bugs, are simply because they use the same engine and such (I myself have some of the same issues related to codecs with both games at times). However, other issues are simply Bethesda sucking balls at adding immersive features becasue they blow the whole budget on voice acting. So, in this thread, post suggestions for SMALL features that would greatly improve both games. I'll start off - Map merchants, and explorers. These characthers can sell you map data, adding locations to your map for a price. Will not have everything, but will be useful for newer characthers. In FO3: Simply add some explorers/scavs to most bars who can thru dialouge be convinced to sell you some maps, thus adding locations. In oblivion: Some merchants sell 'detailed' maps of a region, listing the more easy to find locations, such as most abandoned forts, etc. Also, the occasional Adventurer NPC will be found in a bar, who can sell you 'maps' that list rarer locations. For both, when you buy maps for a region, you get a variable number of locations, based on your luck skill, with an option (based on combined speach/charisma/gender) to talk the person into giving more or charging less. Also, once you buy a regional map you cease to get the option for that region for a at least three ingame months, if not more.
