slamdunk Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I am lookng for latest ENB guide to help me setup correctly. I dont want to significantly alter the visual settings and enhancements isnt my objective. What I need is just be able to increase the memory limit. I keep hitting the 3.1GB limit and get CTD. I have about 25-30 mods sure but mostly scripts. Anyone can point me to the right resource. Google only takes me to the nexus posts which are outdated. Using even parts of it makes the game CTD at all times and need to be reverted. I dont want to break my new character progress. Any help is appreciated.
Arhon Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 This http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBlocal_INIcan help you by explaining what everything in an ENB does.
slamdunk Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Thats a good start. Found that I dont need Skyrim Project optimization since occlusion culling is included. Lets see. I am starting to see unplayable stutter.
Sacremas Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 You can check out my guide, I deal with it on the third post, but note the SKSE part also helps with memory. When setting up your ENBoost setting, a good setting is your RAM + VRAM - 4 X 1000 or so, so if you have 12 GB RAM, 2 GB VRAM then set it to 10000 (-4 is to take away what Windows and Skyrim needs to run normally). I'm running 230+ mods, max ENB, every graphic in the game exchange for minimum 4k including parallax graphics, etc, heavy scripted mods, etc on a 4 year old computer (except the card, but I haven't changed my graphical settings at all after upgrading from a GTX 580 to a 980, nor seen significant framerate improvements, that was for future games) and something is very wrong if I drop below 50 FPS in the middle of the civil war with 30+ actors present during a thunderstorm.
