How do you uninstall a script based mod?

Really that is all I need to do, but everything I have tried doesn't seem to work. I have even tried removing all my saves and making a new game, but usually about the time I make it to whiterun I get CTDs again eventually and then crashes anytime I try and load that save after that with references in papyrus logs to said mod.

How can I solve this problem, even if I need to start a new game?

If its crashing like that then the saves cooked without it there. There may have been a uninstall option in the mcm if it had one you should always check for that first. Ultimately there is no good way to ever remove a mod but the best way to do so and preserve the save is 1) disable the mod 2) load game save then quit with a new full save 3) use a save game cleaner to remove any leftover scripts 4) load up again and play.

Thank you, that is all I needed to know. I just wanted to know what the proper steps were for it, if they don't work I will figure out what other actions to take. I used a save from before I even installed that mod, but had all the other mods from before I installed that as well, and it didn't work and eventually corrupted that one as well.

I am going to try installing it again, checking to see if it has an uninstall option, and if that doesn't work just new game from scratch again and maybe that will fix it.

(The mod was sexlab aroused redux)

The issue he's having is stated to happen even on new games.

He has a bigger issue than just corrupt saves. The issue needs to be discovered, and resolved so that steady and consistent play can be achieved.

This is more than just leftover scripts, I'm sure.

Thanks.

I doubt a save game cleaner is going to help you, because you stated it happens even on new saves.

You likely have a mod that is calling for assets in papyrus that don't exist, and that bogs down the scripting, then causes crashes.
