Re-install help please

After updating SKSE and Sexlab (among others) things got weird. It's was obvious that I needed to re-install so I un-installed using the control panel. When I checked everything is still there. Do I need to manually delete all these files? All the mods are still in the data file which seems like it defeats the purpose of re-installing.

Reinstall what? The game, the mods, skse?

I guess you mean the game itself.

Ofc you need to manually delete the mods since they don't belong to the game itself.

If you uninstall via controll panel it will only delete what it installed.

If you wanna get a messed up game again, go ahead.

I am not quiet sure, but all of this looks like you installed all your mods manuall into the skyrim data path.

Is that right?

If so.

You should clearly consider using a ModManager like Nexus Mod Manager,  OR BETTER Mod Organizer.

Go look up some tutorials how to properly set up mods for the game. I am sure there are plenty here and even more on the internet. ( check Youtube)

Installing mods manual will (nearly) always end up in a big CTD massacre. :P

No, I always use NMM to install mods.

I thought if uninstalled it would remove the Skyrim folder altogether. I can't see where it removed anything.
