janii Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Hey all Im trying to load up a custom texture, more precisely, I just made some parts transparent. Now im using 7base vanilla armor replacer. Means -> Custom mesh. And for that mesh I try to edit texture. In nifscope I added NiAlphaproperty to the armor part.Thing is, there is no custom texture, its using vanilla. So I extracted it from the .bsa file and edited it. Now im unsure how to proceed correctly. I placed it within skyrim folder (data/Textures/blabla) and checked in nifscope the texture path. Should work. In nifscope it shows me the edited texture, but in skyrim nothing changed.I also tried to add another texture path on mod manager (7basereplacermod/textures/blabla) and change the texture path to that location. Still nothing ingame. Just to be sure I deleted some mesh via nifscope to see if it works ingame and it does. I kinda believe its still using the texture within the vanilla .bsa file. The NiAlphaproperty/texture should work, otherwise I'd get errors ingame (shining texture etc)Im new to this stuff but I managed to edit other armors, but they had custom textures so I could edit them straight away. Am I missing something here?
