undergroundman420 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Hello everyone. I am brand new to this forum. Stumbled across it as I was scouring the internet for help with my question. Im pretty new to modding, so I am having a difficult time figuring this out. PLEASE HELP! I am playing PerMa, using smithing perks. Everything seems fine, game is stable, everything works, except for this one thing: The reforging and warforging abilities under the "Armorer" and "Warforged" smithing perks, do not work-- they don't even show up as being available. I have installled everything according to the instructions. I have ordered everything with LOOT. I have successfully run the PerMa patcher, ensuring that PatchusMaximus is the very last thing in my load order. Everything in Wrye Bash shows green lights, good to go-- so I have no idea what the problems are. I have created the items in qustion... I have all the required perks and materials.... still,, the option to reforge in simply unavailable and for the life of me I cannot figure out why, so I am hoping that someone can please please pelase help me, as I do not want to abandon this character. bahamut2119 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 First you need the right perk to make the base armor second it has to be a supported armor many customs dont work yet and third your game must be patched you have it in your load order so I assume the third condition is met.
undergroundman420 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 each of those conditions is indeed met, and i am trying it on plain old vanilla armor that i myself crafted. ive tried leather and elven, i have both perks, and more than enough of the required materials.
bahamut2119 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Then I dunno what to tell you maybe you have something interfering try looking the armor up in the console using help "reforged xxxx" with xxxx being the piece of armor you want to do if nothing shows then you have a conflict probably.
undergroundman420 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 yeah the armor isnt there. my problem is i have no idea of how to find the conflict. and none of the mods i have *should* conflict with it. i think you can find it in Tes5edit but i have no idea how.
bahamut2119 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Ya tes edit should be able to point it out but odds are its something you can spot without it it would have to be something messing heavy with the vanilla armors. But a quick scan through your listed lo doesnt tell me anything your sure you have run permas skyproc patcher yes? I do see you have CCO though but no perma patch for it im 99% sure theres one found here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59257/?

In the Wrye Bash list it shows up as "PerMa_USKP Master Patch" and also added the Hunterborn patch and survivalism patch. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and this time is also added CCOR Patch and WAFR Patch--- those werent in there before. But the reforge option still isnt there when i go in game I'm trying to play with load order... any suggestions? Thank you.
undergroundman420 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 What if i uninstalled CCOR, WAFR, PerMa, and PCaPP, and reinstalled them all? Perhaps I did something wrong last time? is there a particular order in which they shold be installed?
bahamut2119 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 No there shouldn't be id reinstall pcapp and make sure you select the patches you need your also missing the one for wafr i think theres a merged patch for em both in pcapp missing those patches might be the root of your issue. Rerun the perma patcher after.
undergroundman420 Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 ugh. this is so frustrating! thank you for helping! I had already reinstalled PCaPP, as stated above, and made sure to get the relevant patches... but even after doing so, the reforging option still just wast there in game, even after making sure i had all the necessary perks and materials. so i started a new character, leveled it up, still, reforging not an option. so i completely uninstalled PerMa and everything related to it, and uninstalled CCOR and WAFR, and PCaPP. Then I reinstalled them all starting with perma first and doing PCaPP last, completely reinstalled it all, making sure i got the relevant pacthes, and then i ran LOOT, applied the suggested load order, then I ran the Patchus Maximus patcher successfully. After checking Wrye bash, everything seemed in order, all green lights go. Started a brand new character, leveled up smithing with all relevant perks and materials on hand.... still nothing. No reforging option, period. Nada. I dont know what to do I really liked this character I'd hate to have to scrap it and never get to experience PerMa smithing.
