Majplum Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hello there, i tried VH with the useful help of this community, while checking another post about question about "Violated heroïne" and i have since searched for Ryonarpg... but in vain, could someone tell me where i can find the tuto, or the latest files of ryonarpg ? thanks in advance.
Silas Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Might be able to help a bit with the links: Here is the untranlated core archives for the game itself: http://dev.rsaga.org/core/ And here is a link to the wiki: http://wiki.anime-sharing.com/hgames/index.php/RyonaRPG RyonaRPG is one of my favorites, have fun!
Beornwahl Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Just for clarification - the wiki states the latest version is to be downloaded from the base archive, which file is this specifically? Some are resumes and other mere pictures
Silas Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Just for clarification - the wiki states the latest version is to be downloaded from the base archive, which file is this specifically? Some are resumes and other mere pictures Particularly from the archives, Core 0098 and 0099 both need to be downloaded. The pictures are actually needed (for something I failed to mention but will mention now) to be put into the RyonaRPG folder: create a 'Picture' folder inside the main RyonaRPG folder and extract the contents of core0099 (pictures) into that folder. This is to prevent an error after the first line of text that will cause the game to crash for missing background pictures. 1 - Download Core0098 and Core0099. 2 - Extract Core0098 to wherever. 3 - Folder should be RyonaRPG holding maps, a sounds file, a systems file, etc... (Create a 'Picture' folder here). 4 - Extract Core0099 and drop its contents into the newly created Picture folder.

Majplum Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 Thanks a lot, but i tried , following each steps but i've got an error log with rpg maker trans :/ so crash just after the first line of text :/ Edit : Found it.... my mistakes, in fact there already is a picture folder in core088 to put the core099 into but create one other nonetheless and put the content in it and as it was a "pictures" it didn't work ^^. So again thanks a lot, i will try it this week-end
MadGenuis Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I spotted this and decided to try it out myself, but I can't seem to get past the issue with the error message at startup (it opens an untitled window with nothing but black in it, then displays a message featuring the install directory and some Japanese). I'm fairly sure that I've followed the instructions to the letter, both the ones here and the ones found in the wiki, but the issue persists; in other words the Core0099 has been extracted to a folder called "Picture" and such (and glancing at the contents of this Picture-folder only makes me regret not being able to get the game to execute all the more). Neither the translated version nor the original untranslated version seem to be willing to launch, regardless of whether I run then with Japanese locale - I tried both with AppLocale and actually changing the system locale to Japanese - and it can't be RPG2000 that is the issue (which seems to be the only suggestion the wiki has) as I'm able to run Violated Heroine with no issues. Eh, so, any thoughts on what the issue might be, and perhaps ideas on how to fix it?

I assume you cannot even get to the title screen, right? If you do and after a line of text you get this error: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ファイル NightmareImpact は開けません ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Then this a very simple fix with Core0099 and the Pictures folder (Just addressing this regardless as it is a VERY common problem and overlooked a lot) Should be able to just launch it like normal, but if you can't get to the title screen even, then it's a much bigger problem. 1 - Make sure the game downloaded correctly (Core0098 and Core0099). 2 - Make sure your language for non-unicode programs is set to Japanese and restart the computer. - ( Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Region > Administrative > Change System Locale ) 3 - Make sure it is RPG2000 that is installed correctly - ( http://tkool.jp/support/download/rpg2000/rtp ) I know you addressed these as not the case, but it always helps to just make sure these are all correct! Should you still experience an error let me know what the error message says.

Should you still experience an error let me know what the error message says. Heh, well, thank you for the help, but it seems that I managed to get it working on my own somehow. I basically deleted the game folder and extracted the exact same files again to the exact same places, and for some unfathomable reason it worked this time. It must've been an error in the file extraction or something, because I literally did the same thing as I did the first time around, only now it works like a charm. For the record, it didn't get to the title screen before, when it wasn't working... and while I can't be sure (I can't read Japanese, and I don't have a photographic memory) I think the error message was the same as the one you included (except with the install directory in the place of NightmareImpact, of course). I can't be completely certain since it doesn't appear anymore after the complete re-installation of the game, so we may never fully understand what the issue was. Now I'm faced with a new, more personal challenge: to get over my obsessive need to carefully examine every single available character and just pick one so I can try the game!

MrMultiB Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Wow I'm an idiot, took me way too long to figure this out, when I extracted the contents of Core0099 file, I dropped the entire root folder instead of all the images inside pictures. If you make the same mistakes as me, then do this:DON'T DROP THIS: RyonaRPG20150707まとめpicture into "Picture"Extract everything in that folder into "Picture"Hopefully this helps someone
