HermausMoron Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Having recently downloaded and played a few slavery-related mods from this site, I've noticed a few options... lacking. Of these, one of the most irksome I've found is the lack of an option to liberate slaves. I realize these things are far from lore-friendly, but given that one can end up enslaved--often repeatedly--in the course of gameplay, I can't help but think one would logically end up sympathetic to the plight of slaves (to say nothing of playing a heroic character). With the availability of such mods as Live a Deviant Life, Deviant Dialogue, and Hydragorgon's Slavegirls, it strikes me as odd that one doesn't get the option to pick the lock on a girl's restraints and send them off before/after dealing with their owners one way or another (purchasing the slave/killing the owner). Frankly, I see great potential here. One could illegally emancipate slaves, thus earning you bounties in various holds. An underground-railroad-like organization seems like an obvious option, either by joining one or making your own. Hell, why not build an army of escaped slaves and perhaps throw your own chips into the civil war?
Guest Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Something like this could give law abiding characters a reason to use Prison Overhaul in their play through. You could also spawn slaver NPCs in various public locations with quests to kill them, so you could risk running up a bounty that way.

Given how dark so many slavery mods are (I'm looking at you, Hydragorgon), I was thinking more along the lines of something that I could use to justify punishing the jarls/declaring war on the holds for encouraging this kind of shitty behavior. I like your suggestions, they lend themselves to such a scenario

And yes, I would definitely be racking up bounties for rescues...though I wouldn't add a whole new faction, just you being helpful by yourself. Some NPC slaves might get real names and they might be seen again in a different situation (also, hydragorgon adds TONS of NPCs, but no story to any of them that I found...giving some of them names and stories would be a great thing), most slaves would run away and disappear and respawn later.

Actually, looking back, I think I might have confused content from another mod (likely Sexlab Devious Stories) as part of Hydra's Slavegirl mod. And yes, much as the idea of leading a slave revolution appeals to me, I'd be happy to settle for a simple release mechanic with possible bounties attached.
