I need some help and tips.

Hello everyone,

 

1. Is there a limit to how many animation mods you can install? I have 283 .kf files currently. The walk left/right/backward and sneaking forward animation are extremely slow for some reason using umpa sneak walk and pretty woman while vanilla animations are fine. I don't have a controller plugged in and the joystick is disabled in the ini.

 

Often times the jumping animation does not show and instead uses the running animation while mid air. This jumping problem fixes itself after a few minute sof playing, but still happens from time to time.

2. Any side effects for using showracemenu aside from stat reset and how does this reset the stats anyway?

3. I read that MMM kills fps. I have a core2duo 2.66, nvidia gtx 650 1gb and 4gb ram dinosaur and I run the game around 25-40fps. If I set MMM to not use alive waters, no guard additions like lanterns, no looting npc, no farm animals and spawn areas set to vanilla then can it still hit my fps like a truck?

4. I use oblivion xp updated, what are some good class, birth sign, magic balancing mods to go with it?

Yes, there is a limit to the number of animation files you can have. However, 283 is far, far, far from that number.

To put it in perspective, I have over 6,000 animation files (not counting creatures), and have still not reached the cap.

 

About your animation slowness: that is probably a setting within the animation itself. I know for a fact that Umpa's walk is slow by default.

As for the jumping animation: that happens in vanilla Oblivion. Nothing to do about that, far as I know.

 

Use tgm before showracemenu, and you'll be fine. This isn't Skyrim or anything.

 

I don't use MMM or oblivion xp myself, so I can't help you there. Sorry.

Hello vaelorian and thank you,

 

I changed the walking animation to natural walk mod and it's working fine now. Thanks for clearing the jumping animation. I was really confused about it since I only have race and landscape mods installed. It is just annoying to look at having the idle stance play before landing and running animation while jumping then quickly changing to the jumping animation at max height.
