Angel71090 Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Now as you all probably know, a lot of people around here dislike the Nexus for one reason or another. Some of us remember a time when the Nexus wasn't so bad, before the mods became so annoying, and as I reflected on this, an Idea came to mind. Why not make a mod for LL that voices our frustration? That's when the story came to mind. Lore in spoiler. Long ago, before the Nords ever set foot in Skyrim, the wandering God Bethesda, The great Creator, descended upon Nirn. As he viewed this world full of promise and greatness, Bethesda smiled and decided on a whim to craft a weapon to help lead this land to further greatness and glory. So the great Creator set to work, putting all his endless knowledge and boundless skill in the art's of creation into play. Sampling from all the strongest metals in existence and formed to perfection in a fire made from his very Will , he forged a sword, a blade of unparallelled beauty and unmatched power. When the blade was complete, Bethesda watch on in awe as his greatest work formed a spirit of its own, and came to life. A female entity of great love and caring, in tune with the very life of all that existed and every would exist on Nirn. And so Bethesda named his daughter Nexus, for she was the meeting point of all things on Nirn. When the Creator looked out upon Nirn, however, he saw that while there was great good on the planet, there was also great evil as well. Not wanting to take the chance that the great power he created and had come to love as his own daughter falling into the wrong hands, Bethesda created the Ad'Min Istra'Tors, a name meaning "Great Guardian's" In a long forgotten tongue. He gifted all of them with a little of his own power to help them defend his blessed child, entursting them with the care of Nexus until the "Destined One" appeared to wield her. And so the Ad'Min's did as they were instructed for a time....but even a God can Make a mistake. The exact story of the Great Sundering is mostly lost to time, but what is known is this, one Ad'min, now only known as The Dark One, a being that had always been obsessed with Nexus, tried to force her to bend to his will after tricking Bethesda into a deep sleep. When she refused, The Dark One was enraged and, gathering several of his like-minded Ad'mins, forced Nexus into her blade form and Shattered her into shards which they divided among themselves to increase their powers, The Dark One taking the largest piece of the blade and the hilt for himself. With this power they created a great temple to themselves and made others worship them as gods, destroying those that refused to bow to their demands. The remaining Ad'Min's, Led by General Ashal, Stormed the temple of the fallen ones, now calling themselves the Nexus, as if to add insult to injury to the poor soul they were using, but were unable to defeat them. Just as all seemed lost, Bethesda, awakened form his slumber by the fighting, appeared before his creations and, with the power of a Father's Wrath, descended upon The Dark One and his followers. He cursed them all, The Nexus and their worshipers, turning them into disgustingly ugly and brutish creatures to reflect what they looked liked within their souls. Thus the first Trolls were born. While Bethesda had meant to destroy them all, the presence of the Shards of his daughter forced him to instead curse them to spend all eternity in these forms. But as he reached for the creatures to retrieve his daughter, The Dark One used Nexus's power to put up a great barrier around the temple, preventing even Bethesda form entering. Unable to reach them, Bethesda instead sank the temple deep into the earth, and instructed Ashal and his loyal warriors to stand watch over thus until a warrior, strong and brave enough to recover the shards of Nexus from the Dark One appeared. He then fell into slumber once more. From then until today the Dark One and his minions still cower deep within there temple prison, knowing they can never leave it or drop the barrier, lest Bethesda himself return to destroy them. This has caused them to weaken greatly, forcing them to rely on their fear tactics and hordes of troll minions to defend themselves, but now Ashal and his loyal Ad'min's may have finally found the warrior they have long waited for...the Dovakinn. Basically it would be a dungeon adventure were you would have to fight deep into the heart of the "Temple of the Nexus", killing many trolls and other foul creatures along the way, until you recovered every shard of the Nexus Blade form The Dark One and his fallen comrades. You would then be able to reforge it into the Lovers blade, a living weapon of great power that would also allow you to summon a partner to your side. I've got a lot more ideas for this...unfortunatly I have NO mod creating expirence what so ever. I can make a .bat file and many other things, but nothing that would really help in making a mod. So, I thought I would share this idea with everyone and see what they think, hell if you want to use this idea for a mod, go right ahead! I encourage it! Don't even have to acknowledge me for it or anything. Anyway, there it is...what do you think?
Angel71090 Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 Moving this from the Fallout section. Oh crap. I'm so sorry! My minds been for a loop for a while now due to me having a terrible head and chest cold for the last few days. >_< My bad. Thank you for fixing it.
Cezul Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I like how this is one huge metaphor. I wonder if this ever did get made and sent to the nexus, if the Admins or whatever would actually catch the satire and all that stuff.
