itchymonkey Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 When I am navmeshing, I've noticed that the building I made was sitting directly on top of a division between 2 cells. This means that I can only navmesh half of the building, because the cell boundary stops the navmesh from connecting with each other. It forms this invisible wall where I can't place navmesh points. Â How do I connect 2 exterior cell navmeshes so that followers can still follow you from one cell to another in the Tamriel worldspace?
ahondara Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 In my case the house I put down was on the border of FOUR cells. Not my fault that the best flat surface atop a huge rock, over looking the lake was so unfortunately positioned eh? But anyway, while in Navmesh edit mode you should see these fat green lines between cells. That happens when you have N.M. from 1 cell butting up against that from another cell. Navmesh borders are kind of "stacked" one atop the other. What I did was to navmesh 1 cell up to the border and then clicked on the bordering line and pulled it toward the border as far as it would go. I did the same thing on the other side of that invisible border. The really important thing is that you have to finalize the Navmesh in EVERY CELL you are working with. So if your house borders 2 cells, click on a triangle on 1 side, finalize the cell, click on a triangle from the other side, finalize that cell too. I needed to finalize 4 cells, which is where my own trouble was solved.
Mitsarugi Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Ctrl+E then make sure the vertices are parallel for both cells then Ctrl+F1 or the 10th button (Finalize current cell's navmeshes) should show a green line if connected ^^
