basically i have a problem mod and have to deactivate mods individually to find it.  the issue is i have about 360 .esps and 254 of them are active. i cant be assed to have to activate them all realy carfully making sure not to activate some of the ones i don't want at the moment. i would mutch rather just say move all inactive ones to the start of loadorder, then i can activate batches of the ones i want untill i find problem mod.

i have tried BOSS and LOOT but cant find a feature to do that.

I manually move my inactive mods to the end of the load order unless they are included in a merge patch, then they are moved to right under the patch they are in. that is just so its easy to keep track of what mods are in what merge patch. <note: I still use NMM until my next play thru, not sure how that will work with MO>

Wrye Bash has a feature called Ghosting, which appends a .ghost suffix to inactive plugins. This has two benefits: for one, the reason it adds .ghost is because even though they're inactive plugins, Skyrim still tries to read them to some extent which affects performance, so basically it's changing the file type so Skyrim doesn't recognize them and try to do anything.

Secondly, it automatically moves ghosted plugins to the bottom of the load order and alphabetizes (latter may or may not be convenient for you :P) so they're out of the way of the active section.
