A question about Steam Cloud and public computers

Hi all,

 

I have a question about the way Steam Cloud stores files to public computers, and whether they are accessible or readable by the owner of the computer, even though I am not logged in anymore.

 

Some context: I logged into Steam recently on my friend's computer to play some games that I had on my account (not Skyrim). I had Steam Cloud sync on, for some reason, and Skyrim started to download missing files.

 

The question is: Does this mean that my friend has access to my save files and/or other files from his/her computer, even though I have logged off?

 

An alternative question: Does Steam Cloud simply paste files for Skyrim from the cloud to C:\Users\[userName]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves or other locations (where they would be accessible by anyone playing Skyrim on any Steam account on that computer or by browsing the appropriate folders), without any kind of encrypting?

 

 

I would be grateful if someone could clarify this matter for me.

I don't think they'd be able to see the save if they launch Skyrim with their own account, but they may still be able to access saves and screenshots in the hard drive if they were sync'd. More information here.
