l4dynem Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I was wondering if there was a way to have two different armor sets could be tweaked to work at the same time. Specifically the Masters of Death armor for males and the Black Sacrament Armor for females. Currently my CK is broken due to some...other project, or I would look at the esps myself. Thank you, any help would be appreciated!
Firedoom Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Yes that can be done. It should be as simple as renaming a few files and then overwriting, say, the female versions of Masters of Death models and textures with the renamed female Black Sacrament files you want to replace them with. However, if there is a difference in the number of pieces between the two types of armor then things get more complicated. There could be other issues as well, but try the easiest method first. MAKE SURE TO BACK UP ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KEEP IN CASE SOMETHING BREAKS.
yote Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Extract the meshes and textures for both from the .bsa into the skyrim directory?
l4dynem Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 So as an update, I have gotten the chest and gloves working fine. Looks great! Buuut the boots and hood keep defaulting to the original files for some reason. Thank you for the quick responses!
Firedoom Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 If the mod you are attempting to replace files for is using a .BSA you'd probably be better off extracting everything from that archive into your folder structure and THEN overwriting the files you want to replace. Then remove that unnecessary .BSA so it doesn't have any chance to cause conflicts.
