donbloco Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 So I upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 and decided to test my skyrim, but after loading my save I have a constant low fps, also my controller input responds slower now. What could possibly be the culprit? I expected to play skyrim as before with a decent fps, but now windows 10 has messed up my skyrim experience. If someone has a solution, please help! Also worth noting is that I already tested it on high and medium settings with no improvement in fps.Â
Guest Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 First be sure you have the correct drivers for your graphic card. Win10 has basic drivers that work well but are far away from the original AMD or nVidia drivers. Â Then, if you are using ENB, this can be the problem. In many cases ENB on Win10 does not work well (often does not work at all.) Â
donbloco Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 I have installed the new drivers from Nvidia but that didn't solve it. I am actually using an ENB, so I should remove the ENB and test it again?Â
Guest Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Try. It is a quick test. And will give you clues about why the FPS are low.
donbloco Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 Okay thank you I will try it, and let you know if it worked!
donbloco Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 Thank you very much, it worked! It runs smooth again!
Slammer64 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 While I don't use an ENB, I'm using ENBoost on Win10 x64 with the latest nVidia drivers with no problem, try setting it up for ENBoost.
