datjellyman Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I don't even know what happened but all my overlays are gone If I go under make up or body paint the lists are gone so I can't select anything. I know the overlays are in game though since my character still has the ones I had on. Although I still don't see them in the list. I have everything up to date with race menu and even if I try to re-install nothing happens. Anyone got any ideas on what could cause this?
Taskmaster Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 If you're using MO, check your priority ordering, see if something is being overwritten. If this doesn't fix it, then use Racemenu's Loose Base Scripts, and put that on the highest priority to all of your Racemenu overlays(meaning physically lower on the MO list).

Killing Joke Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I know what can cause this, although I'd need to know what overlays you use first to be sure: when racemenu 3.0 was released, some code related to overlays have been changed but broke compatibility with 2.x racemenu's overlays system. Problem is, a lot of modders never updated their overlays, so when you use an overlay for 2.x with newer racemenu's version, not only they are not listed but their outdated scripts prevent other up-to-date overlays to display too. I'm using some outdated overlays myself that I need for some of my presets, sometimes by opening/closing racemenu they appear, sometimes by reloading a save, and sometimes... just not. I've never found a reliable way to make them appear consistently. And since a lot of modders on the nexus don't release their source code, we can't even update them ourselves.
ONIXer Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Sometimes happens for me, reload game helps mostly. Also after messing up with new mods, load order can be a problem.
datjellyman Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 I updated racemenu and the problem got worse. Now I can't even select anything under the make up tab. It's not a big problem for me anyways since I don't really use them that much. I had noticed that the ENB I was using hid the freckle's detail I had to the point you couldn't see them so I was going to use freckle mania, but I found another mod that just overwrites the freckles instead.
datjellyman Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Oh by the way at the moment I had these installed with Racemenu 3.0. Freckle mania, the hag's tattoos, empyrean warpaint, wellgram warpaint and stoja's warpaint, tattoo model suicide girl and something that says tattoo pack cn. These are the ones I'm aware of. I uninstalled them since I probably wont use them anyways and I found an alternative. It'd be nice to figure it out in case I ever use them again though. I also updated to the newest racemenu and the problem in my earlier post happened. Also I didn't try reloading the same game but every time I start up the game I always load one character and then load to my main because it prevents any ctd that way.
