Alan47 Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Hey guys, after modding Skyrim for a really long time, I thought I know my way around with mods in bethesda games, and I wanted to give New Vegas a shot next. Well... I installed the BNB body via Mod Organizer, three times in a row now. All I get is the result shown in the image attached to this post. Obviously, the mesh is correct, but the texture on it is wrong. I have no other texture / mesh mods in place what-so-ever, I run a fairly minimalistic setup right now, and yet BNB refuses to work. I've read in several other threads that "archive invalidation" is often the issue for textures not loading correctly. I never had such issues when using mod organizer for Skyrim. In fact, under the "Archive" tab, the BNB archive is not even listed, so I can't "tick and untick" it, as it is often recommended. I re-downloaded the mod, tried to unizip it and zip it again before loading it into mod organizer, but nothing helps, I consistently get the result shown in the image. Does anybody have any advice? My guess is that I'm missing something related to Mod Organizer...
Kodiak Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 That's a case of right body...wrong textures. Its a matching game. T3 bodies with T3 textures, BNB bodies with BnB textures. When downloading a texture, read descriptions carefully to make sure you are applying the right textures. Also keep in mind that if you are using a primary nude body, provided by..say... Sexout. And then you put on an outfit designed for a different body, that changes the body when you put it on. the original texture will still be applied to the outfit, even if its not a match. Example, You use the T6M body. You equip the old BnB prostitute outfit which changes the characters body type to BnB. You will see something like what you took a picture of. Another Point If you are trying to use a custom body like BnB without a custom texture. As in, you're letting the vanilla texture be applied. Then you are most certainly doing it wrong and you need to go download a dang texture for your boobs.
Alan47 Posted August 3, 2015 Author Posted August 3, 2015 I'm using the body and texture that comes with Bouncing Natural Breasts (see: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35047/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D35047%26preview%3D&pUp=1). I guess that the mesh that comes with the mod should match the texture that also comes with it? In the picture, I'm not wearing *any* armor. My guess is that the game applies the vanilla texture to the BnB-Body mesh. The question is: why does it do that? According to my mod organizer file tree, the file "textures/characters/female/upperbodyfemale.dds" is provided by BnB. Is that the correct path for the female textures?
Anatriax Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Did you get the compatibility skeleton? Without that they won't work.
Guest Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I've read in several other threads that "archive invalidation" is often the issue for textures not loading correctly. I never had such issues when using mod organizer for Skyrim. Do you have the AI bsa on the top of the Archive list?

(Ignore Project Beauty and Redesigned. I'm probably going to remove those mods)
Alan47 Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 Thanks you two, I will give these suggestions a shot and report back
Alan47 Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 Hello again, Anatriax, I followed your guide and it works like a charm, thank you so much
