So i'm using moonshadow race ,And i  want to add this eye http://www.nexusmods...as/mods/48267/?

To my moonshadow race. However when i drag&drop the eye color from eye window into my moonshadow race in facedata and saved it, it doesn't show up in the game.

As for something else i can change willow hair and it's work well, not sure why adding eye color didin't work though.

So did i do something wrong here? my meshes and texture folder is in read only mode is it the problem?

I try disable UAC,Run as administrator but still no luck.

Please Help,

Thank you

ps.apologize for my english.

(Without taking in consideration a scripted solution) you can do that if the eye is a ESM and your modified plugin will then add it as new master on the header

Moonshadow race uses custom folders for textures and meshes like Minoumimi's races, yeah? Maybe the solution is simply overwriting the files in the custom folder?

Just a thought.

Thank you for replied.

But for a newbie like me ,i'm not sure how to do it as you said so

Also this eye color mod is an esp though.

So if you can point me out on how and what it was please tell me.

Is Moonshadow a ESM or a ESP? I assume you are opening both in GECK but which one is setted as active? or you are creating a third file, like a patch?

If you want to use assets from a plugin on another plugin, the first one should be an ESM and be master of the second one. I guess you would have two possibilities: open Moonshadow and create new eyes from scratch, pointing the path to the eyes folders of the eyes mod; or making the eyes mod an ESM, and then use it as master for Moonshadow (which is what you are doing now, but since the eyes mod it's not an ESM it doesn't work)

EDIT:

ok I fired up the GECK to write you few steps to see if you can solve on your own:

- Open the eye mod (and not Moonshadow)

- Go on top on menu Character - Eyes

- Identify the added eyes, check the path of the texture and write it down

- Make a copy of Moonshadow ESP, just in case

- Now open Moonshadow and click on Active, so that the modifies will be saved in the esp

- Go on top on Character - Eyes, Right click on a empty space and choose New

- Create your eyes, pointing to the textures of the eye mod, the ones you checked in the first steps

- Drag and drop these new eyes on the Moonshadow race as you usually do, save and try in game. You don't need to activate the eye mod ESP, because you added those eyes directly inside the moonshadow esp

If the UV will be different, then well... uhm we'll see...

no load order problem, it's all in this:

If the UV will be different, then well... uhm we'll see...

...

basically the texture of the eye is made for another 3d model eye. It should be manually replaced, pffft...

You should check the eye mod description if it tells you something more, like "these eyes can be used as replacer for this mod: ....", or better, check if inside the eye mod archive there's a model of the eye, it should be a nif file

EDIT: oh wait, because I'm assuming that Moonshadow is using the vanilla mesh, while it could be that it doesn't. However you got the point, the two mods use a different eye model, so it should be manually replaced. After that operation, you will probably have the opposite effect with the actual eyes - they won't work properly anymore

Damn, That sad.

Anyway thank you for your help again man. you really helping me out .

Guess i'm going to try something else then haha.

EDIT: Wait..

Before i go i need something clarified .

Is this the problem because the one that cause the problem image is in a double (don't know how to describe it) and the normal one it only has one?

Exactly. The way a texture is "painted" over a model is called UV map. When a texture is completely different, like you can notice in your case, it means that the model is different, because it has a completely different UV. You still can put the texture, but as result you will see that the texture is not aligned as it should, and that's why the eyes are shifted in game.
