MutantVerse Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 So im using the Rust ENB, and when i start the game like everything is transparent, can someone help me fix this. Here is a print of what it looks like
MutantVerse Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Turn off multisampling in your settings I ticked off transparency multisampling in my settings and im sorry to say it did not help.
Spyder Arachnid Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 No no no. I mean multisampling. In your ini files, it is called "iMultiSample". Set it to 0 when using an ENB, or else you get the transparency effect. It's AA basically. That ENB already comes with SMAA, so you need to disable it in your ini settings (or launcher if you want). From the readme in the description of that ENB: Finally, open up the Fallout: New Vegas launcher, disable anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing and make sure HDR is enabled. If you know what you're doing, you can also disable/enable these function in the FNV ini files. I've included my own inis in the next section for reference. Be sure to check that anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing aren't forced in your GPU's control settings as well.
Anatriax Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Also open your GPU's controller (Nvidia Control Panel or CCC) and FORCE AA off in the settings for Fallout.

Again i incredibly appreciate the help but i went to the ini files and multisampling is set to 0, i don't know if i should put it to 1 or not, and im sure Anisotropic Filtering and Anti Aliasing are off Also open your GPU's controller (Nvidia Control Panel or CCC) and FORCE AA off in the settings for Fallout. I already did what you said, and it's completly off, but thanks for the support man, im very thankful
Anatriax Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Turn off Steam Overlay, SSAO-SSIL in enbseries.ini, and test again. IF this fixes the problem, turn SSAO back on, try again. IF the problem is still fixed, leave Steam Overlay turned off.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Try testing with another ENB and see if it's giving you the same problem.
Anatriax Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I doubt it's a the ENB that's causing the root of the problem. I have experienced transparency issues with both Fallout games, and Oblivion... and it was all solved (usually) by turning off Steam Overlay. NOT sure why I didn't think of that until this morning, and not last night, though. Probably because I was dead tired when I replied. lolThe enb binaries for Fallout and Oblivion don't like the Steam Overlay (Or any other overlay's for that matter, such as once used for screen capture tools or performance monitors). It took me forever to find the solution through Googling, so finally I took my problem to the guru's at enbdev.com and that was the suggestion they made

I am Anatriax. And no thanks needed, that's what we're here for <3
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I've never faced transparency issues unless it was an incompatible ENB (i.e. FNV ENB preset used for FO3) and getting transparent walls. I avoid steam so the overlay thing is new to me.
Spyder Arachnid Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Ah didn't think about the Overlay thing. I've always had the overlay disabled, so it didn't come to mind. @endgameaddiction FNV is a Steam only game, so you can't really avoid Steam unless you are using a pirated copy (which is a no no here). Glad you got your issue sorted out though MutantVerse.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Oh, I know that Spyder. But there are alternative methods to utilizing a purchased game and editing the .exe yourself to make it work off steam. I'm not encouraging, I'm just stating it. And this is not exactly illegal if you are not sharing it.
