How do people create mash-ups for Skyrim?

In Oblivion I used Nifskope and Blender to fulfill my needs but those programs doesn't seem to work for Skyrim yet, so I'm wondering how do people create all the stuff they make? What programs are available? Personally I would be content if I could edit armors in Blender.

I think the new version of NifSkope supports Skyrim meshes.

Haven't tried it out yet as Oblivion and my job keeps me busy, but it should work with this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/niftools/files/nifskope/1.0.22/

they do work,...only need to tweak the nif file with correct user version and get rid the texture shader, so blender recognize them as FO3/FNV nif version, if i'm right...
