Mud Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I'd like to request some help with making a custom follower with healing capabilities. As I understand it, the usual ways to achieve this is either via a combat override AI package or a script, and I can't do coding of any sort, but I've never worked with AI packages either so I'm running into a few issues. The idea is, when either the player or the follower falls below 50% health, the follower will channel an area-of-effect healing spell for ten seconds, after which she will wait at least thirty seconds before healing again, even if health falls below 50% again. I created a spell that seems to work this purpose, by creating a concentration version of Grand Healing's area heal effect and assigning it to a spell to heal 10 health per second and boost the defenses of all friendly targets within 36 yards. So then comes making the package. Assigned it as a Combat override package, gave it the UseMagic template, and set it up like so: Unchecked all its flags except for Ignore Combat and Friendly Fire Comments. Gave it the conditions that either she or the player must be below 50% health before the package will become valid. Assigned it her dialogue quest as the owner quest and assigned an otherwise unused dialogue topic to pull spoken lines from to announce her intent to heal, gave the new package to her alias under the dialogue quest. So I take her into qasmoke and battle hordes of mudcrabs to test her out. The package does become valid under 50% health, she equips the spell, and the spell does appear to work. But some things are off. 1. After readying the spell, she keeps it in her hand as if casting it, but does nothing for several seconds as if she needs to charge it before it will cast. After this, she will cast the spell but stop after just a few seconds, I assume because that readying pose is wasting time from the amount given to cast. There is no charge time on the spell, so I assume a bad setting in the package is to blame. 2. After stopping the spell, she continues ignoring combat and just stands there with the spell in her hand. It seems the package doesn't end when she finished the spell? How do I make her recognize when to return to combat?
