randomtguy Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I'm on a mission to clean up my Skyrim install, I've been busy updating mods and setting things up properly through Mod Organizer, like FNIS and Bodyslide. But now I've got some questions I was hoping someone can help with. Â 1) I have a bunch of scripts in my skyrim/data/scripts folder, including at least some that aren't being replaced from the Mod Organizer virtual directories. Examples are activemagiceffect.pex, actor.pex, alias.pex... Is it safe to delete them? They sound like they could be vanilla scripts, so wouldn't they be in the bsas? But then I just noticed they're dated from 2014, so maybe not. I'm pretty sure the only mods I don't have installed through MO by now are SKSE and my ENB, so I'm not sure where they're even from. Unless vanilla Skyrim had a scripts folder? I can't remember. Â 2) MO keeps telling me I should move Schlongs of Skyrim after Sexlab Framework, but when I did it seemed to break something. I'm pretty sure SexLab has the newer versions of the conflicting scripts, so I should give it priority, right?
maanfall Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I'm not sure with 2, but with 1 you can download Save Game Cleaner, which wil delete any scripts from mods that were left behind after you uninstalled them. If they aren't deleted, it means that these scripts still have a mod depending on them that is activated.
Killing Joke Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 1) Read this STEP page to restore Skyrim to a vanilla state http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Troubleshooting#Restore_Vanilla_Skyrim 2) Yeah MO is wrong, Sexlab scripts are more up-to-date, place it below SOS in the left pane.
randomtguy Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 Fantastic, answered both my questions. Thanks heaps.
