JohnNewton Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I am using http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14514/ to add a skill cap to most of my skills (in order to make my playthroughs more varied and challenging). For example, my current character's sneak skill isn't supposed to go any higher than 30. My problem is as follows: it does. I'm fairly sure it's due to a stealth overhaul mod I'm using that sometimes adds skill experience in an unconventional way that the Skill Cap mod can't catch. That's fine, though. I have no interest in spending hours trying to figure out exactly how to fix that (or asking somebody else to do so). Fortunately, it's pretty rare. So what I'm looking for is a way to reset skill progress. A console command (or something similar) that will change it from [sneak 30, and 83% towards Sneak 31] to [sneak 30, and 0% towards Sneak 31]. Then I could simply use that every few hours and everything would be fine, no complicated mod analysis needed. The problem is that I can't seem to find any way to do so. I can't just let it hit 31 and then reset it back to 30, because I'd still be getting overall character level experience. The AdvSkill command doesn't accept negative values. The SkillAdvance command was removed in patch 1.9 for some reason. My feeble scripting skills haven't allowed me to figure out how the jail time script does it. I suppose I could just punch a guard in the face and go to jail on purpose every few hours, reloading until it resets the right skill, but that sounds pretty tedious and annoying, so I was hoping somebody might know of a solution that I have overlooked.
