Patchus Maximus Immersive Jewelry Workaround

Hey guys so I am getting the stack overflow error while patching with Patchus Maximus due to Immersive Jewelry, since it adds so many stuff into the game. The author has already provided us with a workaround, but I simply don't understand it. I am sure I am missing some obvious piece of information here, but I just couldn't figure it out. I did ask on the mod's page, but I am not getting any replies, so I thought I'd try my luck here.

 

So the workaround is

 

 

If you're having trouble making a Wintermyst or Patchus Maximus patch for Immersive Jewelry: 

First have your patcher make a patch with only Skyrim, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, the Perma .esps, and Immersive Jewelry activated. 
Then activate your full load order as you like, but leave out Immersive Jewelry and your new Immersive Jewelry specific patch. Run your patcher and receive your full patch. 

Then, open Tes5edit and select both your IJ Patch and your full patch. Make sure the IJ patch is below the other in load order so that other mods which edit vanilla jewelry meshes don't win. Merge the two. Voila, the resultant patch is just the same as if Patchus Maximus had finished without crashing.

 

 

However there's something I don't understand. How can there be two Patchus Maximus esps? If I make a patch without all my mods but just with PerMa and IJ + DLCs, would it not be replaced by the patch I create after that with my other mods? I am using MO btw
