fizban007 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Haven't been back to Lovers lab for a while. IRL issues have been preventing me from serious modding for some time. This armor suit is what I've been working on for 2 weeks now, and here is what I've accomplished so far: I basically finished the cuirass, and now working on the gauntlets and boots. Even the "finished" cuirass still requires some tweaking before I'm happy enough to release it. Eventually I'll come to the helm which imo is the hardest part of the whole set. Anyways, I'm not a very skilled modeller so if anybody is willing to collaborate with me on this project it would be awesome. Otherwise, it'll probably be another month before I can release this armor set
Nemi Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 i can't see the entire thing, but, my one suggestion is dulling the colors. i know lenneth's armor is traditionally pretty bright, but i think it'd look better darker, especially considering skyrim is a rugged world.
velinejoseph Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I agree... maybe this much? or this you make it from scratch that's awesome the other option is to rip Valkyrie profile 2 models from ps2
dranzerstar Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Hello, the second one looks more natural I am learning to model too, perhaps you can assign me something to learn. please visit my post. http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6373
fizban007 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 I agree... maybe this much? or this you make it from scratch that's awesome the other option is to rip Valkyrie profile 2 models from ps2 Sorry but I can't see the pictures. Ps2 models tend to be extremely low poly so I don't think that is an option. Better off making it from scratch. One thing which bothers me is that I'd like to sample some blue colors from vanilla game armor, but I found that the color blue is almost missing entirely from armors/clothes in the game. I'll see what I can do with the colors. Edit: Nevermind, I can see the pictures now. It's a connection problem on my end.
worksa7 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I think the model just needs to be touched up on a bit. I mean, it kinda looks like all one piece where the diffident parts are separated only by color? Maybe this is what it I suppose to be, I'm not familiar enough with the original game to judge, but in terms of that might be better for Skyrim, I would say apply a more leather like texture, and update the model to have it look like an over and an under layer for a diverse realistic armor look.
MystressB Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Its his mod, ultimately the only person who needs to be happy with it is him. Telling someone that basically every aspect of their work needs to be changed to suit your preferences is a bit ridiculous. I think it looks nice, different from the endless amounts of whorish armors out there, and will happily check it out when/if he makes it available for download.

It's a connection problem on my end. it's not really that necessary. take your time on the meshes. =D just couple suggestions from here and there wouldn't hurt right Its his mod, ultimately the only person who needs to be happy with it is him. Telling someone that basically every aspect of their work needs to be changed to suit your preferences is a bit ridiculous. you're half correct. it's not "ridiculous" it's called a "feedback". of course it's up to the maker if he/she accept it or not.
Bogard Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 yay thanks for taking my request here's some photos for reference Lenneth http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-02/vp-lenneth9.html Hrist http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-02/vp-ahly2.html http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-09/vps-hrist.html Silmeria http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-02/vp-silmeria1.html If you need texture help you can ask Jerros at nexus he's good at making plate armor textures http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/modules/members/index.php?id=103363 Here's his mod he made from oblivion Lost Paladins of the Divines http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10505 Look at that shining armor!! I have lenneths hair but its for oblivion though:( Does anyone know how to convert hair from oblivion to skyrim?
ElizLestrad Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Thats great work so far. Loving the detail. Going to fit in perfectly with the Norse themes in Skyrim. And I agree, the second one looked more natural.
kosey Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Looking good, voice files for "I will engrave it on your soul" or Mystina's taunts/spells would be awesome.
erato123 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 wow!!! you really stake your hurdle high!!! you have done great with the saber armor. good luck with this too. the blue a bit too jarring in my opinion. can you make it like the blue on the saber armor you made but a bit lighter. about the helmet, there is a white valkrye armor somewhere in this site which has similar shape. maybe you can use it as a base
xp32 Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Great! can't wait for the release. For little feedback.. The pauldron/shoulder parts are a little bit to wide and seems hanging. Keep the good work mate
Rathous Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I have been searching all over for exactly what your doing here. Really looking forward to when you release it! Keep up the good work! Eventually I'll come to the helm which imo is the hardest part of the whole set. I did some digging and found the download site for the White Valkyrie armor that was mentioned in an earlier post: http://skyrimghost.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-72.html It used to be on the nexus site but like many mods it seemed to fall out of someone's favor and was blocked. But the site also has an alt link that looks like this: お礼はおっぱいでお願いします(**) or you can just go here: http://www.mediafire.com/?2n85ldls70szvis The link above is the only working DL link that I could find of it. Of course the only thing about this set that's even close to what your wanting to do is the helmet.... Having a look at it might help you out some although imho it's incomplete since it only has feathers on one side.
xp32 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 It will be great it is turn out to be like this Too bad I can't find the sources of this file image:(
ElizLestrad Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 It will be great it is turn out to be like this Too bad I can't find the sources of this file image:( Thats the mod I remember from Oblivion. I had looked everywhere trying to find that mod when it was first released and recently was looking for pictures but couldn't find everything. I knew when I had put the request in that someone had done the actual armor for Oblivion but most people mistook the Shiki armor for that. Still, with the capabilities of the Skyrim engine I cannot wait to see this armor completed. I keep wondering how Hrist's halbard would look with axe animations? LoL.
quinn_747 Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I'm really looking forward to this as well. It does seem a bit bright for skyrim, but thats only because the entire game has a rather dulled color palette. personally, I'd prefer the brighter armor, if just to stand out more myself. still, its whatever you think will go best on the armor, let the others make their own adjustments. if you ever need reference material, just go to the wiki: http://valkyrieprofile.wikia.com/wiki/Valkyrie_Profile_Wiki
Bazingorrrr Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 very interested in this came across this vid, but it's sadly not the real thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Sibxz9Ji5M ontopic: i do think the coloring needs a more realistic tone. the modelling itself needs more detail. i understand you're unexperienced, but you are all i've got
Destructers Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I also want this armor as well. The problem with all Valkyrie armor so far is that it not look like metal or with silk, but look like cardboard. The metal part need to shine and the silk need to be see through (like in Ogenki cloth). Anyway, just bumping this since I want to have this armor as well.
Riberbero Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Holy Odin! My fingers are trembling. And once this armor is finished, how about Freya's clothes? It shall be engraved upon your soul! Divine assault: Nibelung Valesti!
quinn_747 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 freya's clothes would be awesome, but personally I'm looking forward to seeing aelia and mystina.
