ichhassedich Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 i tried literally everything but nothing worked so far. I turned Racemenu off. So these are my steps: 1. Download ECE, create character so that ECE can create a CME_save folder 2. Put my preset in this folder. My preset starts with a "8" 3. Start Skyrim, type racemenu and load the preset number 8 slot 4. Result: a different character I downloaded more presets to see if the preset i wanted to use is corrupted, but nope'd. None of them worked.
zzz72w3r Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 ECE preset is dependent on the mods used by the original creator. You need to get the author's precise mod list to get similar result. The best way to use faces created by someone else is now with Racemenu3+. It has a nif import function under its sculpt mode where you can replicate almost any standalone follower's face simply by taking the nif file in its facegen folder. Vice versa if you want to share your face all you need to do is to export the head nif and people don't need to worry about matching your mods.
Alpia Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 ECE preset is dependent on the mods used by the original creator. You need to get the author's precise mod list to get similar result. same goes for racemenu regardless of the nif import Regardless if racemenu or ece if you want the exact same face you would need the exact same mods = you need the same hair mod, eyes, brows, and textures like lips and face texture. Now since its a hassle to get that stuff just deal with the fact you should be able to choice eyes hair etc. yourself. Dosent matter if ece or racemenu the importet face is really just the face (or head if you like this term better) the actual skin you see everything else depends on your mods. I would recommend the switch to racemenu if you don't create faces yourself there is no reason anymore for ece since you can easy import as said by "zzz72w3r" any face of any follower on your pc's face regardless if it was created with racemenu or ece. Also I assume if you loaded the preset with ece you used not the preset slider you used the cme load slider if not read the discription of ece again.
