Gagoloth Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Hi, So iv run into a bit of a problem. This problem involves massive FPS degradation when looking at light sources in dungeons. Iv tried many MANY fixed coming short of uninstalling skyrim completely. But lucky i "think" iv narrowed it down to an enb problem. As i stated above i get massive fps drops when looking at light sources like candles & fire. Things iv tired! :Removed any indoor lighting overhauls= CHECK :Reverted back to default skyrim & skyrimprefs.ini= CHECK :Tried googling the problem and coming up with no results=CHECK So i thought "Hey why not see if someone awesome on the LL could help me" so here i am. Id like to look at fire and candles without dropping from 55 fps to 15. load order.txt
Jayce Dimmer Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 It's SMIM. Something to do with meshes having stupid amounts of polygons, which trips the shadow system out (shadows upon shadows upon shadows etc). Hell, if I remember correctly, it's to do with various chain-link meshes used in a few models.
chevyowner Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Do you have XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended installed? If yes try removing the draugr skeleton. If I install the draugr skeleton any dungeon with them will be stuck at 1-5fps, with out normally 55-60fps.

Its ONLY when i look at light sources like fire or candles.
chevyowner Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Then is it all dungeons? Would you be willing to name some of the dungeons you have been to? I could have swore it was SMIM when I ran into that skeleton problem recently. PS Here is the thread I found on Google http://www.loverslab.com/topic/40641-severe-fps-drop-in-certain-dungeons/page-2 For me that skeleton dropped my FPS from 60 to 1-4...
Gagoloth Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Found the issue and fixed it. Did the tweaks located here look at the post by nemeo. I was in ustengrav in the urn room. Turns out my iShadowMapResolution was set way to high.
