FNIS is Messing with My Strafing

I have a problem that I have isolated to FNIS or at least having something to do with FNIS.

 

I have played around with many custom animations for idles and combat.  Right now, if I cast a spell while strafing, my character will turn completely to the right, while the spell will cast straight ahead, towards the crosshairs.  I want my character to face forward while strafing!  Otherwise this looks stupid.

 

If I remove all custom animations manually, the problem goes away.  When I install a custom animation package, the problem DOES NOT return.

 

However, once I run FNIS with the animations installed, it comes back.

 

I tried searching to see if anyone else had this issue, but so far, all I see are people for whom animations do not initiate, etc.  My animations play just fine, only my character is strafing at a full sprint sideways while casting or moving in combat.  When swinging a weapon, she faces forward though.

 

Any ideas?

FNIS does definitely NOT mess with your strafing. The only way how FNIS could come into place is when you change the involved animations by using Gender or PCEA patch.

 

Strafing is not a single animation. It's the result of blending at least 2 animations together. For example 1HM_RunForwardRight.hkx and 1HM_RunStrafeRight.HKX. And if those are not compatible than all kind of glitches can appear. And I bet that hardly any animator has these dependencies in mind when making some sort of "cool" animations.

Yeah.  Just figured it out through much trial and error.  It seems that I have some incompatibility with the pretty combat/cast mods.  Removing the Runforward and Runstrafe, etc from those fixed it.
