erc1971 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I have been working on a little mod for myself, but I figure if someone out there enjoys decorating buildings (inside and out), then I could turn this into something I could release. I have been taking all my clothing mods and combining them into 1 mod. In doing this, I have adjusted the items stats to fit in line with the vanilla items (so no over powered or over priced items), and placing them all for sale in building with a ton of merchants. I hate decorating cause I find the CS/E interface too tedious - and I won't do it . But I figure others might enjoy having this for themselves (granted they would need to grab all the individual meshes from the original clothing mods), and prettying up my new little store would make this something that could be released. Let me know if anyone is interested. Eric
varenne Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 How big is this store area? Is it one room or multiple rooms? Just trying to get an initial assessment of how long it would take to decorate and spruce up.
erc1971 Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Just 1 zone. I started by using the Riverview Estate (from Cheydinhal) as the interior, but after I did that, I realized that despite several thousand hours of playtime in Oblivion I had never been into the Jerall View Inn (in Bruma), and its interior would be much better suited - as it is a bit larger. So far I have 12 vendors IIRC, and will probably increase that to 20 or so vendors - and I am fine with them all standing in a row behind some counters, etc. My only 3 requests would be: 1: The vendors and their chests (which are outside the walls) obviously have to stay. Though you can pretty up the vendors, and dress them up if you want. 2: Going so gonzo that the place looks silly. For example, I was not a fan of the giant DMRA statues at the Temple of Melons. I want it to look somewhat lore friendy 3: The store is currently located at the village of Pell. You could even move it if you wanted. I just want it somewhere near civilization - in a village, outside a city entrance, etc. It needs to be somewhere that Unique Landscapes, Better Cities, and AFK_Weye won't interfere with it. And not at the IC docks - that is already a lag fest, even with my brand new video card . DMRA Store.esp Eric Edit: Real High Heels system is required BTW.
varenne Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I see the ESP has grown a bit since our PM discussion. I'll wait till you've added the remaining vendors; has 12 will probably increase that to 20 or so. That way I can figure out how best to place them all. So is it still based on the Riverview Estate (from Cheydinhal) as the interior, or have you already changed it to Jerall View Inn (in Bruma)? I'd also prefer to wait for that change too, so I can then focus on using Bruma style items vs. Cheydinhal. 1. I would more than likely go with what is the chests for any vendor dress ups. 2. I'm a minimalist and prefer lore friendly too. 3. I'd leave where currently placed. I don't use Unique Landscapes, Better Cities, or AFK_Weye so that's the main reason. Others would need to test for that that use those MODs and report back on it. I use a fairly large monitor when doing this type of work, so it's basically child's play.
erc1971 Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Oh, it is going to be a while before I add all the rest of the vendors in - Apachii's Goddess Store and Tona's Mod Store got alot of inventory to move over! I figure extra counter space is easy to include, and I can just toss in vendors as needed. So if you have the hankering to do it now, I am fine with that. I can also move to the Jerall View Inn interior for ya - that shouldn't take too long Eric
varenne Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Yeah, just post the ESP again when you've changed it to the Jerall View Inn interior then.
erc1971 Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Working on it now I got the building and interior in place. I have to change the name so the door says you are going to the store, not Jeral View, then put the vendors and chests back in Eric
