Flag PC as both genders?

Is the possibly a way to flag the player character as borth genders or will I need to just use the racemenu to switch whenever I fell like it?

Unfortunately, skyrim uses male as the default, so anything not marked as female is assumed male. There is no seperate flag to make something male, therefore you cannot be both at the same time. Of course, there may be ways to make it work, but it seems fairly deeply embedded in skyrim's engine.

So could i mark a female character as male?

If you have a custom race, you can use female assets for a character not tagged female. But you would need to set up custom armor addons.

Usually, you can just tag an npc as having opposite gender animations, like lydia and most female orcs in the game.
