Unit_645 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 I've looked everywhere, and LL seems to be a reliable source of info. Is there any way to use this follower's face as my own player character's? Link: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61910 She seems to use a completely custom head and body-mesh and everything, and when I try to import her CharGen .nif with RaceMenu, I get an abomination that would make HP Lovecraft crap his pants in terror. I would appreciate if anybody could either do this for me, or if you could post a tutorial on how to do this. Also, I use UNP Body, and she uses a custom BBP body if that matters at all. Edit: SOLVED
Vykroft Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 You could try the racemenu mimic plugin if you want to extract the head information, but... if the mod is using a custom head mesh you will not succeed because Racemenu will try to load that in racemenu's mesh. The only way is to force racemenu to load the custom mesh, you need to provide the nif and the sliders to racemenu, and then use the mimic spell.

I really have no clue as to how to do any of this. I don't want to be a bother but I cannot find any good tutorials on this topic anywhere.
Vykroft Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Ok step by step. If you installed the last version of Racemenu you should have a special plugin called RaceMenuMimic.esp, activate that .esp and load the game with that follower you want to copy. 1 - Once in game, open console and write: help "Face Copy" It will give you the code of the spell in your game (the id depend on the number and order of the mods you have installed in your Pc, so you need to run that command first to learn the correct id code for the spell. 2 - Then just write: player.equipspell XXXXXXXX left Where xxxxxxx is the number you obtained when you wrote the Help command, you can equip the spell on the left or on the right, is the same. 3 - Close console. 4 - Finally, with that spell equipped, target the follower you want to copy and cast the spell on him/her. Your character should mimic the appearance of the follower, and from then you just need to open console again and write: showracemenu To edit your character the way you wanted.

I actually tried that at one point, same result as if I had just imported the nif file from the sculpt menu. I'd give an image but nobody should have to see that.
Vykroft Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Well, then you have a compatibility problem with the meshes... you need the custom mesh that follower is using...Open the original esp in CK, and search for the head part data, and check that the "playable" option is ticked, also check which race is allowed to load it, change it to "allraceminusbeast". You should be able to load the special mesh in racemenu now.
Unit_645 Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Well, then you have a compatibility problem with the meshes... you need the custom mesh that follower is using... Is there any way I can check to see that? she seems to use an entirely custom femalehead.nif from what I see in the assets folder
Unit_645 Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 You didn't give me time to edit my post xD lol. I'll try that right now and report back on what happens
Unit_645 Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 You didn't give me time to edit my post xD Did as you said and...
Vykroft Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 In face or body or race menu tab (don't remember exactly) you have the option of choice the head part, try looking for the face part you enable on CK
Vykroft Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Look at the image, you should have one more option in that slider, with the name of the head used by that follower mod, if don't have it you miss something in CK

Now I just gotta find out how to get it to use the proper skin texture and I'm all set. Eyes are rather large but nothing I can't deal with.
Vykroft Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Skin texture for your character is simple, just install the one that follower is using... (extract the original bsa or something)
