SeanLeSpy Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Not sure why this is happening, but a lot of outifts loaded on my Skyrim save have parts of it invisible is there a way to fix this? Gameplayer Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Not sure why this is happening, but a lot of outifts loaded on my Skyrim save have parts of it invisible is there a way to fix this? Open the Zip file check to see that the meshes are indeed in the file. Open the file with Nifskope, click on the actual dress. In the Left pane you will see a highlighted line item that Is the name of the dress although its whatever the author named it. The highlighted item will be a tree that contains BSdismemberment Data Expand that subtree. In the bottom left pane you will see something called like BSdismemberment Partitions Open those up and check to see if the slots are slot 32 the body slot. If they are not then change them. If they are slot 32. Then you will have to correctly assign the dress slot 32 in Construction Kit or in TesVedit ------------------------------------- If the mesh is just FUBAR or if for some reason the Nitri's are not correct for Skyrim well shoot man go learn 2 use Blender or 3DSmax. --------------------------------- The short answer to your inquiry is yes probably.
SeanLeSpy Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 I've most likely done something wrong in the steps, but I opened up the mesh in nifskope and selected the part of the outfit that is missing, but there is no BSdismemberment Data in the left pane or bottom left unless I haven't been looking hard enough, but nothing is turning up in there with BSdismemberment as its name.
Gameplayer Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Nifskope is like a must have tool for modders. Getting information for it is hard to come by and often its specific to something else that you might not need. Anyways I'll give it one more shot here, bear in mind I pretty much learned how to do this by trail and error. ----- Left pane Contents Outfit Tree Topmost part of the Tree is usually 0 NiNode Scene Root Expanding this Tree reveals its branches or parts. The parts are the pieces of the outfit and associated weight paints for animation data. Expand the NiNode Scene Root (scene root is sometimes named differently) Expand the Part of the Outfit that is missing in Game. Example of a part, NiTriShape BladesChestf SubTree List contains 9 NiTriShapeData >10 BSDismemberSkinInstance <----Expand this subtree >13 BSLightingShaderProperty >10 BSDismemberSkinInstance Subtree contains Associated Animation Weight Paints. Look at the Bottom Panel In this information Panel you will find, > Partitions Expand that it contains another > Partitions Contains Part Flag Body Part Body Part next to it says BSDismemberBodyFlag > Will have a numeral assigned slot < Your slot likely doesn't read slot 32. -------------------------------- If your not seeing stuff named properly it means that the author didn't port this armor to the game properly. The obvious give away is like when the Headers are named like NiTriStrips instead of NiTriShape ------------------------------- Your just going to have to play around with it and dig up info, I know its a pain in the ass, I had to go through all of that just to have another useful and sometimes fun tool to play with in the toolbox of modding. Scary how little modders actually know man.
