bach99 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I would really like someone to create an ivy valentine soul calibur v version with chsbhc. I would also like her hairstyle as well - That would be great! I'm not sure if Soul Calibur V Models and Textures can be ripped from the game or not...but it would be appreciated if someone could create this character!
WBGrock Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Actually I'd prefer CBBE model with the skeletal support for chsbhc, But a worthwile endevor. There's actually an XNAlara model for it, which exports to obj...
Xtramustard Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Now this would be something, and make it bounce too.. wicked, fingers crossed..
WBGrock Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 *For Clarification: i am not working on this, just throwing around ideas and Playing with 3d modeling tools to work with them. I do not have all the tools and models i need for this mod... Just some of them (later edit)* You absolutely have to make it craftable though. And maybe add it to the leveled lists for say.... elven armor. Although, i would love to have a havok'd version of the sword/whip as well. (might need its own animation. Attack=sword/Power attack=whip) I'd give it a whirl myself, however blender doesn't seem to want to work with skyrim right now, and i am too poor to get a real 3d modeling program. PS: A bit more info... Playing with blender a bit, it is possible to remove the outfit from the body.(the body is in peices, but it is possible) but without a new body to affix it to (scince i have no idea what i am doing in the import/export NIF to Skyrim (Thank you very much NetImmerse/GameBryo™ for all your support of Blender and Skyrim) I could hack it apart, but not attach it... nor could i really do anything afterward. I know not how texturing works, or anything else along those lines. Playing with it, i see we may need high heels mod... At least the model would be easy to break into peices.(gloves, boots, body... no helmet Hmm...) Or Glass armor... or maybe do SCIV in elven and SCV in glass Possibly Expand to a SC armor mod... PPS: Next moring: Would need a few adjustments to the model as well.(for the whole Boots/Curias/Gauntlets/helm setup(use choker as Helm) and i know nothing about texturing in blender. Just playing with it... seeing what's possible. There are a lot of normally hidden Vertecies that i would have to adjust for which arent textured. PPSS: after playing around a bit, all the peices (middle photo) have their own texture. that means the Strap that goes around the back from the Leggings, and the Leggings themselves are on seperate textures, which don't line up.... would need more talent than i have to fix.
WBGrock Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Actually contemplating doing this... (after the previous post saying no-way no-how) figuring out how to re-do the textures is a bit difficult (the textures from the original model have shadows across them)The obvious solution... New texture maps, and i am learning new things about blender and NIF's Not to mention about free copies of 3dsMax to Teachers, Students and the Unemployed. So, Me, the Manly Construction worker spent the last hour looking up (and adjusting) Lace patterns online. The pattern on Ivy's legs most resembles one called Zelda by Michael Miller, (real fabric) but the one on her body, and the one on her Bodice are two different patterns as well. Such is the Perils of checking mod forums for new stuff... You just might get sucked in... 2 days later: Figured out how to get the apha maps from the original fabric into Paint shop Pro. and after finding an existing model.... Probably gonna just throw it out or use it for a 3d reference... maybe steal the lace alpha maps off it to re-texture. But the mesh doesn't line up to the existing texture map the way i'd like... Don't hold your breath on this. If someone else wants to do it. Feel free, I'll probably do a hack job anyway. And for clarification. The Previous Pictures aren't my work. They are (to put it simply) Models and textures someone Ripped out of SC5 and posted online for XNALara (a model posing program originally created for the Tomb Raider models. (for Those who don't know.)) There may be Moral Legal and Ethical problems with actually using that model (not to mention it doesn't line up to the bodies from CBBE or CHSBHC, or even the Vanila(legs in all three are too far apart, arms angled downward about 45 degrees as opposed to straight out); however it does work as a 3d Reference, and help with placement, So As i said, if there is anyone else out there, go ahead and do this, this will probably be my first foray into 3d modeling myself, and i really don't think i'm up to it. but i will attempt. PS: Why is it that the NIF Viewer doesn't support Skyrim Nifs?
xiro8877 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 The newest version of Nifskope should be working fine with Skyrim Nifs. At least most of the ones I've been editing have been.
WBGrock Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I guess doesn't work is a bit of an overstatement... i figured out what I was doing wrong. I had the Latest Stable Version instead of Release Candidate Skyrim Compatible Version. Latest Stable version is not compatible, RC is. however i am still Irked that you have to jump through hoops for blender... Modding Noob
WBGrock Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 As much as i hate double posting, I need help If anyone can find a replacement for this texture, it would be appreciated. The problem is: It doesnt wrap around far enough, i need at least 3x as wide, without stretching the image. (also about 2x as tall, with stretching the image,) I tried looking up similar textures, but cannot find something suitable. It's An original Alpha Tranparency from Ivy's outfit above, mirrored, however just mirroring it again won't really work for what i need. (the back of the lace Bodice) Anyway, back to modeling i guess... unless OCD keeps me at a standstill again... (attachment removed)
