halieslade Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 At least, I believe this may be the answer. I've been trying out Zaira's wonderful "Maria Eden" mod (WIP), and had a couple of problems. This is to be expected with a mod that's still unfinished, but when I tried to find my papyrus logs to show zaira, they weren't there. I had some from the day before I tried ME and none since. Did my usual research - googling, searching blogs and forums, etc. But I'd already done all the recommended fixes. Yes, the first thing I checked was whether my Skyrim.ini had logging enabled Then I noticed that the Logs folder is set to "Read Only". I changed it to Read/write and played. Got a new log. Went back after bit and the read-only bit had reverted again to Read Only. And again, no logs get written. I think this is probably a Windows setting but I'm not sure. There has to be a way to prevent Windows from changing Read-only flags on folders, right?
Vykroft Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 mmm your log file shouldn't have that problem. Anyway, you should change the permission of the folder with admin rights, and change the folder and all the subfolder and files privileges.
