[Help] - Male Armour mesh problems

So I've got my install exactly how I want it aside from one mistake I had made which I didn't discover until recently; and I only have a guess at which stage I botched it.

The Problem: quite a few of the male armours/clothes have at some point been accidentally befiddled (it looks quite silly(the hands and neck)), I assume when i was in the early stages of learning to use bodyslide. (at no point was I *trying* to modify the male armours) The body/armour appear to be using different weights? I wont pretend to understand.

Surely I could replace these with a simple male armour replacer, but all I can find is too revealing.

Is there a simple vanilla Male Armour replacer?

or could i replace them from the files of a default install?

or delete some particular files in order to restore the default ones?

I dont think this is activated by any particular mod and they are replacements of the default clothing/leather/hide armours

I have tried to be clear, so im sorry if i have not been. can post load order info and stuff

Take a backup before you do any of this.

If you are trying to go back to the default male armors meshes, you can probably just go into your Data/meshes/armor directories, and start deleting any of the male meshes that you see there (be sure not to delete your female ones, of course), and skyrim should go back to the default that already exist in the Skyrim - meshes.bsa.  You might have to do the same thing with Data/meshes/clothes for the things like prisoner rags and robes and such.

However, if your male character's body has been altered by bodyslide, that might not help.  In that case, you'd have to look at what has been done to meshes/actors/character/character assets, looking at stuff like malebody, malehands, etc.  Again, deleting any male meshes from there will probably set male bodies back to the Skyrim default.

Thanks for the informative response :)

That is what I'd like to do, however my only concern is knowing which ones are the male/female ones as it seems that mistake may be what caused this mess. I'll have a look at the files now and get a backup of the meshes folder.

The body is fine however thanks for that info too

So I've deleted the "E:\Games\Skyrim\Data\meshes\clothes\prisoner\Prisonerclothes_0" and the _1 aswell as the prisonerrags which i suspect are the files in question,

Im not familiar with nifskope but opening these files show's what i'd expect considering the problem two meshes which are equally skinny.

will test on a new save

So it's fixed and now I'll go through these one by one.

Thank you very much :)
