Installing STEP core mods, CTD already

I'm installing everything on that page from top to bottom, one by one. I got to the end of section 2.G. Landscape & Environment before I decided to run LOOT and then SKSE to test the game. When I start a new game it goes through the loading screen, and then CTD's. Before I started installing mods from that section(2.G) I tested the game once and didn't get this CTD.

 

I don't have Dragonborn or Hearthfire DLCs so I had to skip a couple mods. LOOT also gave warnings about two ESP(Real Water 2 waves and Hearthfire Chimneys) missing master files so I disabled those in MO. Other than that there are no other red text in LOOT.

 

I don't know if this has something to do with it but I couldn't get this mod: Enhanced Distant Terrain. Nexus says the file is not found.

I guess I solved this myself. There was an exclamation mark in the corner of the MO window informing me about files in the overwrite folder. I followed the instructions it gave, created the overwrite mod, started up the game and no more CTD.

 

I'll post back in this topic if I run into any more issues.
