zinaidazeal Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Hello, I've recently reinstalled The Sims 3 after a bout a 3 year break. After the install I went ahead and updated my game (up to the latest 1.33) and started to make sure everything was working correctly. All worked well so I then turned to the mods I have. After spending much time looking online to see if the mods I was putting in were compatible with my version. I've put in all that were compatible (about 650mb worth) and started my game. It took a little more time to load my save as expected but when I was actually in the game it was running so slowly, from the CAS to the actual gameplay everything was just unbearably slow. First I checked the options and found out that the game auto-set my graphics settings to max. I changed them to where they needed to be and restarted the game. Going back in the game was still slow, so then I thought it was my video drivers that needed to be updated. After the download, install, and restart I fire up the Sims again. Its still running slow which is odd because compared to the computer I had 3 years back and now (which has a superior video card, CPU, RAM and power supply) I can't think why my computer would have trouble running this game when the older one could run the game with all the mods with no problem. I'm going through the mods I have installed right now since I can't think of anything else that it can be. While doing this I thought I'd come here and ask for help. Edit: problem solved I found a few mods that were messing up the game so I'm good now.
