Using ini commands

Recommended Posts

I've just started modding Oblivion, and one thing that is confusing me is the role of ini files. Specifically, I'm looking at AutoSetBody and TamagoSetBody and am confused about how and where I should input the ini commands there. Do I save them into the document? Enter them in the console? Something else entirely?

*scratches head* Apologies for the basic question, and thanks in advance!

You move the ini files to E:\Games\Oblivion\Data\ini, substituting the drive letter and/or path for where ever you installed and setup Oblivion.

You can then make edits to specific lines in the ini file so it does what you want in-game. You'll need to review the MODs readme file for instructions, and/or the OP for the MOD. The ESP then has scripts that in turn call the ini and load those settings upon game load.
