maledic
Bethesda will make a update on skyrim and im afraid it could damage it game. Does anyone know if the updates could damage the game, and if it does, is possible to stop steam to update the game? Link to comment
Spyder Arachnid
I don't see any information about a new update coming any where. So...... what update are you talking about? Link to comment
maledic
Because of the workshop on steam. Bethesda said they will update both game and creation kit. "Many of our fans have been modding our games since Morrowind, for over 10 years. They now have the opportunity to earn money doing what they love – and all fans have a new way to support their favorite mod authors. We’ve also updated Skyrim and the Creation Kit with new features to help support paid mods including the ability to upload master files, adding more categories and removing filesize limit restrictions. Lordgeorge16
A lot of people are worried that they'll update the game again to include some kind of DRM-like program or script that will prevent users from installing mods from anywhere other than the Steam workshop, which will basically force users to pay money to mod the game (and subsequently bring an end to Loverslab as we know it - there's no way in hell most of the mods hosted on this site would ever be allowed on the workshop). There's nothing to confirm or support this yet, but in all honesty, it wouldn't come as a huge surprise at this point. Link to comment
