Worn armors meshes folder location?

Greetings forumers.

 

I have questions about worn armors (like worn furs, irons) meshes folder location.

Since most replacers don't touch them, I'd like to replace the meshes with its normal armor counterpart, however Im having a hard time finding them.

 

my questions are:

 

Does it exists? if yes ,where?

Does it packed in BSA? if yes, how to replace them?

If any mods touched them they are still in the original BSA, if you want to replace them, extract what you want using the Fallout Mod Manager, it has a tool for working with BSAs, and after you've done it you will have something like:

 

meshes/armors/hide/NameOfTheOutfit

 

Just copy the mesh you want to that folder and put the same name.

 

Example.: metalF.nif (the armor you want to put in the place of the hide armor)

put it on the folder " meshes/armors/hide/ " and change the name to hideF.nif (the name of the armor you want to replace).

Im thankful for the reply, however I can't find the "worn armors" folder,

 

I extracted the Oblivion-Meshes bsa to temporary folder using OBMM and searched for "worn armors" folders,

looked for folders that doesn't exist in data/meshes/armor and clothes folder found nothing, no "hide" or anything like that.

what are the exact name? "Worn armors" are not in my game.

 

Fur in

meshes\Armor\Fur\

 

Iron in

meshes\Armor\Iron\

 

Leather in

meshes\Armor\Thief\

 

SavioursHide

meshes\Armor\SaviorsHide\

 

Edit; Xpyke there is no meshes/armors/hide/ in Oblivion. ( but in Skyrim)

I am using nephenee13's "DMRA BBB Complete Clothing and Armor Replacer-42033-3-4" Bain installed

I dont know if the rusty iron set at tutorial dungeon got affected by the mod since I used the alternate stat mod to start instantly at Imperial city

 

By "Worn armors" I meant the low level armors bandits wear (normally I checked them at vilverin) like:

 

Worn fur greaves

Worn fur cuirass

Worn fur boots

 

etc, if I remember correctly there are chainmail and iron counterpart for this

 

its kinda like sack cloth and prison cloth, If you install most replacer It will, most of the time change the sack cloth, but not prison cloth despite sharing the same model.

Like movomo said, whatever low level thing exists, it's perhaps responsibility of OOO mod

Low level stuff is usually using the same models as upper level and regular equipment...

 

However... making new models/retextures for them seems like a good idea.... I'll consider it for my own mod.

Thank you! that does the troubleshooting!

 

The worn armors are indeed from OOO and checking the meshes/armor folder, it seems that there are more non-vanilla armors both high and low level.

I guess there are no replacers for those currently?

 

Recommended overhaul / game balancer that does not add extra armors?
